Mrs Jean Badham

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Mrs Jean Badham passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon surrounded by family.

Mrs Badham was an exceptional woman who gave 68 years of her life to the company. She married into the firm at the age of 18 in 1947 and worked alongside Mr Richard Badham to help grow and drive the business from very humble beginnings. Mrs Badham was passionate about staff training and development to provide the best care for all our patients. She was a pioneer with the Investors in People Award and took the time to remember the needs of the staff. Mrs Badham cared about the welfare of all the staff, felt everyone mattered and were part of the family as well as the business.

Mrs Badham was very proud of the company and all that has been achieved. She was delighted to celebrate the 75th year anniversary last October with the reopening of Whaddon Pharmacy and the gala dinner. Mrs Badham was pleased to see so many staff and talked continuously since of how much she enjoyed the day.

Mrs Badham was also keen to be kept up to date with the progress of the company and only a few days ago was asking about financial affairs and new developments in the pipeline.

Mrs Badham was a truly inspiring and kind woman. She has left an outstanding legacy of service and care - a fantastic role model for us all.

Her funeral will be held on Monday 1st February at 12 noon in St Lukes church.
